These beautiful birds are mostly black with gorgeous golden feathers up their neck and flecks of iridescent green throughout their plumage. They are a highly adaptable bird that is happiest out and about free-ranging but will tolerate confinement fairly well. They are quite docile but not particularly cuddly birds. They are renowned for their dark brown/chocolate coloured eggs, laying on average 3 per week or 150-200 eggs per year.  Our birds will be 20 weeks old on the 23rd October 2020, with average point-of-lay age between 20 and 24 weeks.
