Warrens are a great starter chicken and are known to be prolific layers, producing around 320 medium and large, light brown eggs per year. When buying eggs from the supermarket, it is highly likely that they were laid by a warren. They are red/brown/orange in colour and very hardy birds who are friendly and inquisitive. They have a docile nature and are great for first-time chicken owners and children. They love interaction and attention, so if you want a cuddly chicken, warrens are the hens for you! Our birds will be 20 weeks old on the 23rd October 2020, with average point-of-lay age between 20 and 24 weeks.
